    Hi guys,

Ive got a site (wordpress based, hosted on hostgator) that is selling an eBook.

What is the best affordable way to securely sell the eBook then download to the customer?

I've seen 1shoppingcart.com used but it looks expensive at over $50 per month.

Can I use clickbank to achieve this? If so, is it recommended?

    Thoughts appreciated.

    Thanks

If you're only selling one or a couple of eBooks you don't really need a shopping cart system, just a way to bill them. PayPal would probably be the simplest option, but you could also use ClickBank to allow others to promote it for a % of the money. There's a $50 fee to list with ClickBank though.

I would say use Paypal. Its the cheapest and easiest

    hxxp://www.potpiegirl.com/2009/06/how-to-sell-an-ebook-with-paypal/

I would maybe recommend putting some htmaccess to the download page. and give the login details through the Thank You purchase email

    I use

    Code:
    http://www.digitalproductdelivery.com/
They have different pricing plans and a free option if your only selling 1 product.

Also you can upload to their site and when a person buys-they allow them to download the product. So its hands free for you-you don't have to bury your ebook on your site.

    Hope that makes sense.:)

If you are selling a lot of ebooks then you should get one of those shopping cart systems. But, if you are just selling one or three ebooks it would not be practical to have those. Paypal is now the best way to get payments from your buyers. I use paypal.
