I've been searching for some hours for cheapest registrars + coupon codes and it looks like Netfirms.com at 7 dollars each new reg -1 dollar on EACH domain with 104DOMSPECIAL coupon code.

So that's 6 bucks. Couldn't find anything better. Thought I might save someone some time by letting everyone know.

PS, I'm regging a bunch of domains for gifts (ie their name). Great idea right?

If your more comfortable with GoDaddy, code dnf2 will get you $7.39 dot coms.

do not go with godaddy just because the domains are/seem to be cheaper. they might fuck u over and that risk just is not worth the money u save now.

have a look at name dot com and their offers for tomorrow and xmas :)

I figured I'd offer the code since someone expressed godaddy interest.

I do have to agree though, godaddy will definatly screw you over if you do anything questionable. They are fine for grandma who wants to post her pictures online and wants to hangout with her grandson on that crazy new fangled world wide web.

/Screwed by Godaddy over tm and typo domains - never again.

that sucks :( who do register your domains with now?

I used to use Moniker exclusively but they have transfered their servers from rackspace and have encountered lag in their control panel. Also DNS changes are not as quick as I'm used to, I believe they have all of their dns in a single location now.

I liked moniker because it was a site by, and for domainers. When you submitted a support ticket years ago you would get the ceo to answer. Lots of discounts as well for people heavy into domains.

I also use Enom, they are okay. A decent alternative to GoDaddy, and have never messed with me over typos. (Nor has moniker) Enom is colder, does a lot of reselling so if your going to buy domains with Enom you should get a reseller account to make it worthwhle.

I've been considering jumping off Moniker entirely and going with Dynadot - Hear good things about them, but it's such a pain in the ass. Also Moniker has a professional appraisal service to appraise your domains that is recognized by the IRS, thus you can use the domains as collateral to back loans with financial institutions. It's nice to have some equity sitting around. Not sure if they would provide that service if I left.

i have heard pretty horror stories about netfirms.just google it.dont risk your business for a few bucks.

One thing about Netfirms is that with any .COM and .NET domain they include FREE Domain Privacy.

Yes giving Domains for Christmas/Holday/Birthday presents is an awesome gift. Set them up with hosting as well with WordPress, BANS or a Gallery or all and they will be stoked for sure.

I'm not using netfirms for hosting. It's just gonna be grandma posting photos so I'm going to use free hosting:)

Paid 65.50 USD for 11 domains. That's 6 per.
