    Hello folks,
I'm planning to go camping with my GF to Croatia and I'd like you to recommend me some good destinations to stay at.

I got recommended Murter and Makarska from my friends.

Feel free to upload photos of places you are recommending.

FYI in nations like that you can often cut a deal with the resorts/hotels by calling them and trying to negotiate a lower price than advertised. Language barrier may become a hurdle though.

I was numerous times in Croatia, one occasion on Island Pag, i would recommend that, especially Novalja/Zrće Beach, which is practically Ibiza in small, if you like that kind of stuff, but you said you want to go more South, to Dalmatia.

There are plenty of beautiful destinations, Dubrovnik is pretty much a must see, if you go South. One of the most famous beaches is Zlatni Rat on Island Brač. You'll find camps just about anywhere.

What are your preferences though? Big beaches, smaller, more secluded beaches, nightlife, nature? Also be advised that most beaches are gravel/pebble beaches all over Croatia and not sand, in exchange the sea is beautiful blue everywhere. If you prefer sand beaches, there are only a handful of those.

You can't really go wrong with any destination like others said above, you only need to know what you want to do and select the best destination according to that.

Wow, thank you for that summary.

For me, I would love to have small beach with a few people or to go further and be there alone. In the evenings, some discos or parties would be great.

I was once at this beach and it's pretty amazing but there are tons of people and I just didn't feet good.

Question... how "safe" of Croatia? Have they been having any of the terrorism problems that a lot of Europe has had? And is crime low? Looks absolutely beautiful though.

Pretty much whole Eastern/SE EU is safe, Croatia included.

You cannot really get safer than that.

I live next to Croatia, we have a little higher crime rates, still nothing to worry about.
These post Soviet countries have one thing in common besides other things and that's the low crime rates, especially regarding to violent crimes.
If i'm not mistaken none of these countries are primary terrorism targets like France or Belgium, but i guess with terrorism you can never be sure.

Let's just say when i was on Island Pag, one thing occured to me and it was pretty weird even for me from a neighbouring country: people don't lock their houses there, so i would assume that burglary is non-existent.
