I have been big on using free blogging networks over the last couple years I mostly used blogger (which I love) but their spam detection stuff is getting out of hand and making it really difficult for me to have faith my blogs will be there tomorrow. It used to be that only when I applied the code for a content locker would my blog have a chance of being detected as spam, but today I had a 2 year old adsense blog removed from being detected as spam and Im not sure why.

So what is the next best free blog network for me I should use? The most important factor is a blog network that isnt nearly as stiff on spam detection/prevention as blogger, where say if you have a locker you get removed fast. Again I'm looking for free domain blog networks, what's the best in your opinion for promoting? Should I just go to wordpress.com?

If I were you I wouldn't bother myself with free blogs at the moment. With the current new years promos you can probably find a hosting that allows 6-10 domains + buy domains for 0.98/99c for about 25-30 bucks all together.

I make lots of blogs so really creating payed ones is not realistic for me plus most of these blogs are about downloads if ya know what I mean. But yeah I have a couple blogs focused on adsense that I wouldnt mine getting domains for.

I see then as mseostrategy said wordrpess is your best option.
Would've recommended tumblr, but if it's about downloads chances are it's not going to stick for long, though if you are lucky it might stick around for 1-2 months. If that time is sufficient for you then tumblr is a great choice as well :)

Many free blog which I have tried, locker is not the one - the only reason why blogs deleted but there are many things that make blogs deleted. In a blog critical of the whole blog no duplicates, interesting content and usability for many.

No you can`t you need a self hosted wordpress site for that, You have nowhere near the versatility that you get with your own wordpress site, I must add that using free hosting is also a waste of time! I have tried this ans always find that there is a problem with using pluggins.

I do both, picked up 12 $.99 domains this past weekend, but I maintain over 100 bloggers as well. There's no need to set the two types of blogs into opposition with each other, both have strength and weaknesses. I do think there is an over reliance on content lockers these days, as offers can be promoted without using that one tactic.
