My main purpose is to get some quality backlinks and want to write my own blogs but just wondering which blog sites were best as far as being constantly crawled by G. I suppose blogger? Are there any others you could suggest as far as writing up some decent blogs.

Tumblr is my personal favourite but make sure to use a variety to look natural.

    Blogspot.Com
    Weebly.Com
    Tumblr.Com

They all tend to rank quite well on search engines.

Thank you. Now a follow up questions.

Would sites like tumblr, weebly, blogger, etc. be considered "Tier 1" type sites or would these go on my tier 2 leading to tier 1?

If I write a blog completely from scratch. My own words without any stealing of outside content, would I be able to copy and paste that content from let's say weebly, over to blogspot and then over to tumblr? Or does it have to be spun each time? Or does it have to be all new content without any duplicate post?

Last question. Let's say I have accounts on the 3 blog sites mentioned above. Can they ALL be about the same niche? And whatever the answer is to my second question will determine if I just have to use separate content on each although they all focus on the same exact niche.

Again, sorry for the newb questions but I truly am trying to get a grasp of this before I dive in.

Bonus question for those willing to answer. If indeed the above mentioned sites can be used as my tier 1, then what are recommended sites to use for tier 2/3?

Write unique and good contents and submit them to the web 2.0 blogs. Each content must be unique. Add relevant photos and videos . Use different format of articles ... e.g heading, sub heading, bullets, image on left, image on right ... big image ... etc. Also try to add some links through image to your money site.

You can use these sites as tier 1. Also you can use press releases, profiles .. etc for tier 1. But this tier should have high quality contents and backlinks.

With my personal experience these web 2.0 works well for me :)

    blogspot.com
    wordpress.com
    tumblr.com
    weebly.com
    angelfire.com
    blog.com
    hubpages.com

Try to use common niche . YES !! but do not stuff your web 2.0 blog URLS with your keywords. Just use something that make sense and something close

    yes.
all new content is recommended if you want those tier 1 sites be seen as a quality blog.
yes. but to create variation you could do: lets say your niche is beauty, blogspot - beauty tips , weebly - beauty product/service reviews, tumblr - beauty related news.
you can use another web 2.0 sites such as: livejournal, blog.com, soup.io, pen.io or you can use social network/community sites such as kiwibox or skyrock.com or Document sharing sites such as scribd, slideshare, etc... just have a search on the forum and all your questions will be answered. :)

Blogger, weebly, tumblr are not only for Tier1. You can also use them as money site(main site). (I think you got confuced reading more about tired link building lol :D)
It doesn't matter how many blog's you have. You need to post unique content to each of it. If you copy paste or rewrite it won't rank. So choose one blog and go for it. If you wanna use 3 make sure no articles repeated between those.
As long as you feed unique articles on 3 blogs, niche doesn't matters.

You can use other WEB 2.0's as tier 1. All contextual links(link which created inside content) can be used as tire 1. Make sure the domain has low OBL, authority and not penalized. For tier 2 you can use blog comments, profile links, etc.,

All the best to your new project. Lets know if you have further queries.

Man, I truly appreciate the reply's. I've read a lot into this but sooo many post/threads aim at ones particular needs so I just want to get a grasp of things in my own perspective but again, this is truly appreciated. Thank you all.

    Last question (cant promise)

I fully understand that each bottom tier leads to the upper tier. Now am I adding an actual URL from tier 3 to tier 2 in EACH blog post? Or maybe add an actual URL in every other or every 3rd blog entry i write? Or am I even using a URL at all? Dumb question I know but im a warez guy so this is all new to me. LOL.

Its better not to use them for moneysite. You must have control over your moneysite. Why risk your hard work using blooger, weebly, tumblr as money site ? One day they may ban your account. So i think the best way is to have your own domain which you can control.
