Guys what do you think is the best site to start a blog on? Blogger, wordpress, squarespace. etc???

I heard google doesn't praise SEO anymore, is this true? If so what is the next best way to get on top of the search engine list?

    You can try
    knowlt

It runs on wordpress but we have a ton of premium plugins/premium themes.

I actually own knowlt, but i'm not being biased here. I believe it's better then blogger, wordpress, and many other services.

We have auto posting plugins to automatically update your social network accoutns such as facebook, tumblr, blogger, etc, etc.
We have a ton of amazing premium themes such as the Fiverr clone(Pricerr) craigslist clone, yahoo answers clone and much much more.

We have our own search engine which searches all of the knowlt websites, and a ton of other good stuff.

Also we allow adsense, and it's all 100% free.

    Epicvibes,

In my opinion, as far as SEO goes, it really doesn't matter which platform you go with. Some people say Google favors blogger blogs, others say it is easier to rank a Wordpress site (which may be right but purely because there are more SEO related plugins for the platform).

My suggestion would be to go with either whatever you know the most about or feel comfortable using. I will tell you that there is far more support and variety of plugins available for Wordpress sites (self-hosted) than for most other platforms. Joomla is another option.

Here is a good post on the five best blogging platforms, maybe you can find an idea here,

    best,

"google doesn't praise SEO anymore " .Who told you buddy? Its never like that. But after some major updates in Google algo, the concept of SEO is rapidly changed. The incoming links can badly hurt you in SEO. get authoritative with your blog.Blogger is an affordable option. If you have a couple of dollars to spend,i advice you to go for WordPress Its like your home, your room. You can enter when ever you like, you can sleep, where you like :)

i'm using wordpress. this is more reliable to use. and there is nothing to worry about seo,, because google always prefer seo. if seo is not supported then under what strategy it will rank? no other option i guess.. then seo is still working ..

If you have a static site, you'll want to install a Wordpress blog on your site. However, if you want to do an affiliate review site, you are just as well off having a Blogspot blog (if it's linking to Amazon or other affiliate site).
