So I'm starting a new thing taking respected sites and trying to rank their pages with my links. Think like Yahoo Answers where there is already enough authority to easily get to page 1.

If I need to get to #1 as quickly as possible, what would be the best links to get? I'm looking for as few links as possible, so no Scrapebox or Xrumer blasts (I doubt those would do too well anyways).

So what would be the best? Bookmarks, Web 2.0 articles, high PR profiles, etc? And what would be the best sites for those, for example Digg would be the best bookmarking site.

I may already be spot on, but I'd like some reinforcement about that :)

    Thanks!

High quality, high PR websites, where the PR is on the age of the link...

Obviously I'm not looking to get homepage backlinks for a Yahoo Answers post, so I'm assuming you mean comment backlinks?

You can check out these site to get an idea of what web 2.0 sites are still high authority (post-panda)...
    www.pandalized.com

In addition to what you mentioned, I'd try to garner social proof -- e.g. facebook likes, tweets, g+'s.

I still feel like you would need at least hundreds of Facebook likes or G+'s.. I'm just looking for a few good backlinks to get my post to #1.

What type of high PR links are you talking about? Comments?
