What AntiVirus do you use and for how long?

I have been using PC Tools for 6 years but they were sold to Symantec and my final day is in two-weeks. Not sure if I should with Symantec (Norton 360) or try something else.

    I also run MalwareBytes.

    Looking forward to your feedback!!

This is not a time for a nulled/cracked version. Too many valuable resources to take the risk.

    I don't use any cause i don't need any.
EDIT:- antiviruses just make you feel safe, but an attacker if he wants to hack you then no antivirus in the entire world can detect a 100% FUD crypted file.

I prefer NOD32. Typically, I find that I only download files small enough to run a VT Scan on.
If the file is too large, I scan it with NOD32, which is great with its detections.

Is that because you are not using Windows or because you don't have anything of value on your computer?

I realize a targeted attack is possible but most viruses are not targeted attacks. You know that.

We all know not to open attachments, files from untrusted places, etc. One of the computers in my house a few years ago did not have AntiVirus. My wife was look at CareerBuilder.com and one of the ads delivered a virus. It was a mess. Had to backup everything and then reformat and then start over.

Hopefully you are super smart in your ways and not just naive.

I would never ever expected find such a thread on a BH forum.
I were almost sure anyguy doing internet marketing knew that AntiViruses are useless..and created EXCLUSIVELY to fool peoples and make money.
It's so easy to infect a computer being 100% invisible to ANY antiviruses that anyone (and I say anyone!) could do it.
    Even 13 year old kids.
Antiviruses are the most scambag business ever existed.
AVs only work with virus of hackers which doesn't absolutely know what they are doing and created the virus within 2 minutes.

So yeah now that you know that anyone with a very bit of knowledge can make a file 100% encrypted you may stop paying for an AV as I did back in 2008. Yet 6 years after I never got anything hacked or any toolbar or strange thing going on my computer.
You only need to be carefull what you are downloading and you're good to go.
    I'LL REPEAT ONCE AGAIN:
PLEASE NOTE THAT ANTIVIRUS OR NOT, IT WILL CHANGE CLOSE TO NOTHING. THE ONLY THING IT WILL STOP WILL BE NOVICER'S HACKERS.

As that is what is most common, is it not good to protect against them?

Years ago I did not run AV. And I had to reformat several times (mostly due to warez and torrents). Maybe I have got smarter, but I haven't had one since I started using PC Tools so I think it helps.

Besides that, when you have others using different computers, you cannot monitor their clicks. AV helps prevent their mistakes.

Yeah sure, your post makes perfect sense. But not evryone knows they're paying to be protected only by noob hackers.
And antivurs owner themselves doesn't say so, or noone would buy them as in fact they're only protecting user from 1% of virus out there.

It would be way better to teach what to not do instead of spending money on something barely of any use.
Also, it is not true that weak virus are the most. In fact as I said even 13yo kid could do an invisible virus. Don't believe me?check hackforums.net (ran by 13 yo kids but u can still find tutorial about fud crypting there or even services).
Also, the thing I hate more than anyother is evry single anti virus, tells you have shitload virus, but in fact you may have none.
Thats "black hat/immoral" marketing guys. You MUST know it, as IMers.
