Also you could have a simple browser app created and have it take them to your website automatically. This way the app itself will only be a web browser, but the end user will be taken to a site. The functionality of the app would be whatever you can get do on the site. I know a few people make info based and other cool apps doing this.

How simple do you want the app to be? Does it need to be native?

Creating a great native app is no joke and there's nothing easy about it.

I have created an app with ibuildapp's services. It is completely free until you want to put admob into it. If you do, then you need to upgrade to START plan for each app you want to place add in. So it costs $10 / app. Hope this helps.

I myself am looking for some cheap online app maker with monetization ability. Found a suspended website offering app maker site reviews: appmakerreviews.com. you still can read it from google cache

I just read about http://www.appmakr.com/ the other day. If you just want to make your website an app or a simple info app, this is probably the way to go. Anyone have experiences with this site or other similar sites like http://www.uppsite.com mentioned above?

It depends on what type of app your going to make,my brothers a programmer so i know how it goes
Hate to break it to you man but its not that easy !
You got to know programming languages like objective C,Java,Perl,Ruby,Python etc..
and plus you got to know different languages for different operating systems
If your programming For ios(Apple) you got to know objective C
If you want to program an App for Andrioid or windows there's other programming languages for that , and plus you can't use the same code for all the operating systems ,From what i know its slightly difficult to write an app for android because there are so many phones under android and different phones have different resolutions and processors unlike apple.
