    Hi everyone!

I'm new to BHW and would like some insight into how to develop an effective Social marketing campaign on Facebook, as much as we hate that platform!

I currently run a home based SEO and Web Design company and looking to learn more about utilising social media. I have several projects at the moment, quite varied from a dog page to a cake baking site!

I am also quite useless at FB (I try to avoid it). At least I'm honest haha

If you can give me your top 3 tips, backstory and what works best for you. Maybe even give me a little story, I'd be interested in hearing them!

    Thanks in advance!

Give FPTraffic (Fanpage Traffic) a try. I am told it works wonders. It is a tool by Luke Peerfly. Google it for more information. Good luck.

I don't agree with the point, the fb is useless. Being active on facebook give us business leads. Try to identify the groups where your targeted customers are active. Use such groups for marketing your products. You may also run some facebook adverts, which would be within your budget.

    It`s really time-consuming!
    0. Your offer should be really useful
    1. Find your targets (target auidience)
    2. Have a lot of resources (accs, proxies)
    3. Mass offering & Posting & Views & Actions
    Add my Skype: givemeacc
It will be pleased to meet you there
I agree about spam. If it does not benefit, no one would not spam, is not it?
Facebook has been and remains the social network #1
Filtering Targeted Traffic & Simple Math - two things that you must take into account.

Firstly you have to set out some KPI's and understand what results you want your page to generate. Is it simply for growth? To sell products? To post articles? For an email list? - Figure it out so you can plan ahead how you will implement strategies to maximise your efforts.

Next who are the demographics the page is aimed at (age, sex & location), which content will be best served to them and at what times (optimal postal times)? Is the content pictures? Videos? Articles? Written Statuses? - What conversation do you want it to formulate with your fan base? A constructive for and against argument? A dialogue of facts/figures? What is it? Really narrow everything down to the last detail before taking action to avoid mishaps along the way (or limit them at the very least).

Once you have all the above, it's time to think of your promotional avenues. Are you going to run ads, paid posts, leverage with influencers or other means of bringing traffic to your page? If ads then are they to simply grow page likes? Are they through smart targeting of interests & behaviours? If influencers, why that particular one? What do they bring/do for your brand?

    Tips

*Make sure the page is not poorly branded
*Take a look at what your competitors (other pages in your niche) are doing (these pages may also be a good start for paid shares)
*Consistency - remain consistent in the frequency of uploads, and content flow so the algorithm gets used to how your page posts and some of your audience will begin to know when to expect updates from you

Hope that helps a bit :)

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I have been investigating how best to use Facebook to help pages rank and get referral traffic. To be clear, this isn't mainly for building up as many likes/followers as possible. It's more for helping with growing a social media presence for backlinking and SEO.
