BermanHosting Support Times.. Why So Slow!?

    Anyone else here think Berman are very slow at replying?

    I made a ticket over 24hours ago and they've never replied.
    I also read some reviews and they seem to take an eternity to reply to people.

    The only positive reviews I've seen are from very fake looking accounts.

    first thing English is not his native language and second thing you may have opened a ticket on a weekend and third thing your problem is a complicated one. I happened to open just one ticket with them and he replied within 24 hours, so can't generalize it as average response time.

    Hey mate,

    I didn't have problems with berman so far, and they've answered me promptly.

    Try opening another ticket with highest priority and check right now, and monitor the site every now and then as online support comes online quite often, despite it's away now.

    Just try again with another ticket.

    Always been great for me. I usually get a reply in 2 hours, but it may help that I'm in the UK and Germany's only 1 hour in front of us. I've not tried contacting them in the evening or night time. I usually deal with someone called Sven and his English is excellent.

    Why I never needed any support from all hosting services I've ever used?
    Better spend your time that you use to write tickets on solving your problems at your own and remember that if the server is down it will not be up sooner if you wil submit a ticket.

    Thanks for the replies guys, I just find it very weird because usually emails you send about new sales are replied to straight away, and then your tech support ones are ignored.

    Just wondering if this is slow, what are the general support times like? I have no experience with them but this is a bad start might give them a miss.

    I already ticked high priority and have checked their site many times but they must not use that live chat feature much (I love hosts who have them!)

    What are you even talking about? That has nothing do with this thread.

    On friday I checked my vps for the last time - working ok, but just today morning found everything dead - cant even ping it.
    3.5 hours for the support ticked and no response yet.

    With them for past 1.5months

    I think they have a reboot button in their control panel, go check out your setup email.

    I mailed Sven again and finally got a reply. I'm going to trial them for 1 month at least and be able to give them a fair review, they're a cheap host and I won't be chancing any money sites with them anyway, just tools.

    @Dog-Tag..I also opened a thread on BHW on the same issue so I guess I am not alone facing this issue

    For last 8 days i didnt get any reply from their support and tickets are getting closed automatically as there is no reply from other side

    Most of the times I got the reply in 24 hours. So I guess he must be away and maybe we shud wait for more time

    He must consider hiring a staff now as hosting services need 24x7 customer support

    thank you, I knew about that and I tried reboot before opening ticket, I did it now again, says - reboot done, still can not connect it.

    I have been having problems with them since I started my account with them 2 weeks ago, sent 4 tickets and received one reply 5 days later. They are definitely having some problems with the server I am on, something with one of the nodes. If the server is down, there is nothing you can do from the client area, you just have to wait. When working, the system is fast and you can run all your SEO tools, unfortunately it is down often.
    I hope Sven can take care of the issues, or people like myself will move on after the first month.

    He is trying to say, customer support is never needed for him. Well, he is a superman, I guess (who's trying to chase post count).

    Sven has several other projects going on and sometimes he can be slow answering support emails. That said I've been with Berman for a couple months now with no problems. He has the cheapest and most reliable vps's I've found.

    Keep in mind that not everyone is in your time zone too. It may be night where they are and day where u are so it seems that it takes longer for them to respond.

    I finally got the pro package and opted for the 1gb port for an extra $5

    This is the best result I could get after about 10 attempts -

    The connection is very shakey, sometimes hits +30mbs and then dips to 3mbs... anyway I just thought I'd share that if anyone was interested.

    Seems pretty low. I've just ran one on a box I have there and got this:

    I only pay for 100mb/s, didn't take the gbit port upgrade.

    Although the ticket was not updated/closed, found the vps up and running almost after a day.

    I created a ticket about the connection speed not being on a 1GB port.
    Surprise surprise I have still never gotten a reply about it.

    Looks like this is bad host if you need any kind of support. Thanks for the speedtest scrapefox, I'll post a pic of the open port if I ever get a reply. I think you need to submit several tickets before ever getting help.

    I don't really have any experience with support. The only ticket I ever submitted was a cancellation request. I only cancelled as I had a lull in orders, so couldn't justify the second server. When it picked up again, I ordered a new one.

    wow... I can't believed it is my turn now that my VPS is down for over 24hours for some IP blocks issue. Anyone had the same problem?

    The support response is non-existence and I had to wait for 12 hours for the guy to reply to each question. Renewal is up in another 2 days time so if this issue is not take care of, I will just have to switch to another provider. Disappointed with BermanHosting though I go with them after reading so many positive reviews in this forum.
