To get this straight this is not a question of arrogance but rather curiosity. I have been on A LOT of forums over the past few years all very different.

Let me just get straight into the question. What are the benefits of moving up the ranks here on BHW. Ex..Jr.VIP Executives, Moderators. After all it is more responsibility and takes a bit more time. Are their motives behind it or is it simply out of pride and wanting to help out.

EDIT: What I am trying to see is why people want to take on the extra responsibility. Some forums tier system involves more opportunities for making money (game or real money) as you move up the ranks. Some forums rely solely on pride and willingness.

If I am not clear on this questions please ask a question...about my question ;)

To be recognized as a high quality contributor to the forum and to gain access to the Jr. Vip section as well as the higher up sections.

No one gets paid to move up to moderator, they do it out of the kindness of their hearts to better benefit this forum. A couple people find it as a way to give back to this forum such as donor status where your donate $97 dollars. To some this may be useless because in the long run no big benefits come out of it. The reason they did it though is because the forum has helped them make thousands of dollars so this way they can give back. Jr vip unlocks a secrets section of the forum.

Jr.Exec and Exec are probably all about making more money and conversing with like minded individuals. While Jr.VIP is a mix of different stuff. I dont think it could be a matter of pride, If I went to starbucks and said I have blue color on a forum, no one would probably care. I dont think these groups are nothing more than just making more money.

With that said, Mods, admins etc are all probably positions of responsibility.

We arent really allowed to discuss the contents of VIP sections in public so this is as much info you would get till you yourself experience it

See for mods (and other ranks included) its for recognition of the contribution to the forum as in real world you get appreciated when you do something good.

It's only because of them and their sticky threads that the forum is amazing resource.

ranks dont really mean much as alot of account spam there way to high
post count to rip people off.

color, well pink can be bought by anyone for sig avert
blue can be bought at 100 posts and 2 months, again usually for
    sellers and sig adverts.
white / exec vip if given free for some major contribution to the forum
and red / green mods / supermods work for free

    99% this.

But there is actually some value to being Jr. Vip -- if you aren't a moron, and know how to network.
