Yes. The world is burning down. With all these nonsense around us, people killing each other, politicians taking chance to grab some cash. You go out there and see nothing but fire. Fire...around you. You go to the grocers and find out when you come home that the grocer just made a joke out of you by selling you expired products. People are scamming each other to death! Internet is becoming a goldmine for scammers.

Yes. When I go out, I prepare myself for another day to fight. Reminding myself that I won't turn back like others if I see a gang taking a girl, or an old lady carrying lots of goods in hand...I won't even bother to insist carrying her goods to her door steps....I prepare.

Sometimes, a man rises from the darkness.....

Jennifer Foster of Florence, AZ was visiting Times Square with her husband Nov. 14 when they saw a shoeless man asking for change. She writes, "Right when I was about to approach, one of your officers came up behind him. The officer said, ‘I have these size 12 boots for you, they are all-weather. Let's put them on and take care of you.' The officer squatted down on the ground and proceeded to put socks and the new boots on this man. The officer expected NOTHING in return and did not know I was watching*. I have been in law enforcement for 17 years. I was never so impressed in my life. I did not get the officer's name. It is important, I think, for all of us to remember the real reason we are in this line of work. The reminder this officer gave to our profession in his presentation of human kindness has not been lost on myself or any of the Arizona law enforcement officials with whom this story has been shared."
Our thanks to the Fosters for their attention and appreciation, and especially to this officer, who remains anonymous.

Sounds like one of those PR stories with an ulterior agenda that often spring up online, ie pro police. You find them on snopes.com (spelling)'

    Hope it was real though.

We can just be thankful we have the opportunity to be involved in this community and have a
chance to make money online. How many people cannot even afford the internet connection?

People with a decent heart are hard to come by...

I do believe BHW has more than allot of places.

Or the cop was telling him to take his shoes and socks off so he could shake him down for meth....Joking I'm not that cynical...its sad that we allow any humans to starve in the cold when we all have so much.

On a side note apparently today is the first day in history that no murders have been reported in New York City ? I'll come back if I can find a plausible link.

There you go....today in NYC there was MDMA in the water !..........http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20536201

Sounds nice, but it will not change my mind. Sometimes I feel sorry for homeless people or someone in a difficult situation, but I never help anybody, I got burned too many times. (not really never but sure Rarely help anyone). They have their problems, I have mine.

I seen this this morning. I have to say. Im not really a fan of cops, but I have encountered a few in my days that were cool. I'm definitely a fan of this cop. It shows that he could set aside his job for a few minutes and do something completely from his heart. I guarantee he would've done the same exact thing if he were in street cloths. I have to say. Its a good feeling to know there are people like that in the world.

Lol, Can't anyone just be happy for a moment?

    What's with the negative comments.

If this cop did give the homeless man a pair of boots than this is amazing. No one can be sure if this actually happened, but why not try to think it did and be happy for a second or two?

And if you don't want to be happy for a second, just be grateful that you have an internet connection.

Thought I shouldn't let this thread die -

I saw MANY people who really became religious enough once they become rich. 'Cause they are afraid that, God might take back what he has given to them. Though, they won't leave the source of income if it's "Black" enough. They keep their money in their bank account and let it rot. They keep doing all the bad things possible but never leave the church/mosque.

It looks quite funny to me seeing what the world is turning into these days.

if you can not think good about any one than you have no right to think bad about him.

That was really a great and kind thing of him to do. I live in Manhattan and see homeless people on the sidewalks and benches like this all the time and always give them a couple dollars or a drink. I wish more people were like him.
