Saw this on a news site about bank bonuses/ workers getting laid off. Thought the international black hat crowd would enjoy talking about it.

"Your comments about the rich benefitting unfairly from being born in the USA applies to all Americans, unfortunately. Sorry - the average American isn't entitled to being fat, stupid, lazy AND having a high paying job just because their American. Nor is the average Indian or Chinese destined to be poor because they were born in the wrong country."

I agree with the point where just because you're an american doesn't mean at 18 or 22 you punch a clock and all of a sudden you make 50k a year and a guarenteed pension. I see way too many fellow americans, especially public workers who feel entitled to their guarenteed jobs and raises.

It may not mean that you are entitled to anything, but from my overseas perspective it seems the sense of entitlement is alive and kicking.

When I watch US shows on TV and read magazines about the level of debt this is fairly obvious. Why else would you buy stupid things when you can't pay your basic living expenses? (level of impulse buying is linked to sense of entitlement - there was a study on impluse buying/debt/and sense of entitlement that came out a few months ago - sorry no ref but it was in a Kevin Hogan email).

Oh, I know the entitlement is alive and kicking. They now give free cell phones with plans paid to welfare recipients paid for every month by the taxpayer. They're talking about free laptops now. A guy I know gets free rent, food, cable, heat. electric, water, cell phone and a cash stipend. He claims he wants more, he just sits around all day watching judge judy.

Most americans do not have high paying jobs. The average is 40k, and that is not a lot in the US. Entitlement is here, but that is something that is promoted in america by the rich/wealth and politicians to manipulate the massess. They also promote that idea that everyone can get rich in US, which is not true at all. This is all to manipulate people. I am sure every country have a specific subject that the people feel entitled to.

I never heard of the free cell phones for welfare recipients to be paid by taxpayers, can you post a link to that?

I'm just tired of hearing about the usual 'mexicans taking our jobs' rhetoric that they chant. I have a maddox link around here somewhere about it...

A commercial from awhile back? Not everything you see on tv is true. Matter of fact MOST things on tv is not true.

I have never heard of anything like this.

I've heard of the plan of cell phones to poor people. They have ads playing on the radio around me.

Not a political discussion. But I think the US work ethic is lost.

I wanna know where I can obtain these unfair advantages/benefits so that I can get ahead... It's unfortunate that america hasn't tightened it's policy on criteria for eligibility to enroll in some services that are often abused; Quit blaming the people that take advantage of them and go for the source!

Benefits-- I was thinking of retiring in a country besides America.. Social Security and similar entities will be depleted by the time I become of age to retire, as I'm currently 23.

So, I've noticed we're actually LOSING benefits. My prescriptions just DOUBLED last week, and I'm actually paying more monthly for healthcare.. My credit card debt is higher than ever.

Our economy may strengthen over time, however we have not hit the bottom of the slope.. Nothing political to debate as these things mentioned above are simple math.

Simple clear everyones debt, give each person 300,000, must pass extensive financial planning courses before getting any of it. if any one blows it up their nose,, they get banned to the desert.. crime rate drops, economy will boom, the world economy will grow.. homeless rate non existent, national debt reduced to nothing, education self worth, and aprieation increases.

use will become great once again... spread the dream..of the people by the people for the people.. why noe one gets this is beyond me...

just do what i do, no credit cards period.

pple say it's impractical now a days....but i haven't used a credit card in about 5 years and i've never been happier. sure it's not convenient, and you gotta have a lot of cash on hand, but it beats debt any day of the week.... i hate borrowing and owing money even if it's 5 dollars

As a Canadian I really hate seeing the US embracing a progressive income tax system like north of the 49th. It just rewards these wasteful slobs.

Social security will be GONE by the time you make it. No politician will admit to it since it's some other guys problem, they'll be gone by then. But most of us know this cash is just going to the older generation as gifts...

Where does it say it is funded by taxpayers? I typed "Obama Phone" in google and first result I see is http://www.factcheck.org/2009/10/the-obama-phone/

Here is some of what is on factcheck.org:
There is more you can read on the history about the site you linked to. Since obama has nothing to do with this program (The program have been around before anyone knew who he was) Why would anyone call it the "obama phone"? That is just more political bullshit trying to push a agenda.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with taxes on the industry, regulation or write offs.

I think the media has made America seem like a great place to live to the foreigners for some reason.

Not sure why people from other countries think that America is great and jobs are so easy to find.

Nobody should make any claims without proof, and just because you may believe something is a certain way doesn't mean that is true. That would not be any different from claiming blackhatworld is funded by taxpayers. Intelligent people want proof in case it is false before crucifying something like in the medieval times.
