I see, you found a shitlist thread with the member. That's another way to find out the reason, possibly the best, if there's such thread. I see, you already posted in it, i'd wait for the answer of the mod, who handles that thread. Take into account, it's the weekend. In the mean time you can also post your proofs, if you have been scammed too.

Serial scammer and if you're continuing to work with him, more fool you.

If he was as good at doing the job legitimately, he'd not need to scam members by stealing from them.

I've merged this with a similar thread from last week by @mzonas

I'm in support of this. At least something where the signature would go on any posts the user makes? Dunno think it would do more good than bad.

I've been wondering about this myself, particularly when I come across a "banned" member that was a previously active contributor.

What's going on that I don't know about? What's the lesson we should learn from it? I fully understand that this isn't a democracy, but I don't think increasing transparency would do anything but make this a better and more credible place for everyone.

I am 100% with this idea. There was a vbulletin plugin IIRC that was called banlist or something that would help organize this in a nice way w/o much customization.
If someone is banned for breaking no affiliate links or no selling outside BST that's bad but if they got banned for spreading malware or scamming members that's another story. At least there should be a rat or something status for those blocked due to unresolved shitlist and btw I would create a separate user group with a different color and "unresolved shitlist" status for members with cases opened against them and waiting for the staff decision/refund.
