He has been deleted now. ;)

At thread, I don't think owners are needed to explain why every member was banned or something... Just the worst ones, like a marketplace scammer could be tagged.. that should suffice.

    +1

Would be nice to be able to see why.

There could just be some tags too choose between, and then they get that label.

Yes, a MOD publicly posted that it was due to that member having 12 ACTIVE warning points.

    Interesting.

Another forum I am a part of (fitness) has a 'banned' thread. Who ever gets banned their name gets added to the thread by the mod who banned them and the reason why.

The thread is closed for all comments.

I'm not aware, but wow. That's a very long time member. But this topic wouldn't help much on this I guess. Would be mostly gossip :p

I know, it's not the same thing, but you can always contact the mods, if you're on a need to know basis (e.g. ongoing orders).

Last time I saw his profile, his username was "deleted_member_xxxx". It can't be done by the users. An admin must have done it. :)

Deleted due to a GDPR request.

After DD banned him the banned member requested that.

Really good idea actually. @Diamond Damien

If you delete your own account you're not banned; you're a "deleted user" (that can one day create a new account).

If your account is "banned" that means it was mod-issued.

i think having such feature would help in educating others on things that gets you banned.... i know there are written guidelines, but seeing it in action, makes it more real.

This is a good suggestion. But can be limited to just sellers. Other than that, I don't think the mods need to justify the reason for banning anyone. The rules are laid out loud and clear. You break them, you get kicked out.

I vote for this. Just a one word description will be good enough.

Here's something that goes against the idea of being able to see why people were banned (not saying I am against the idea, but just for a rebuttal). If an user is banned, (s)he is banned. You can't do any transactions with the person anymore. Neither can you PM the person, nor can you comment on their BST (as the BST would be closed anyway). So, what's the point of knowing whether the person was banned because (s)he scammed someone, or for some other reason? Think about it..
