Hi, original post can be found here. @BassTrackerBoats suggested to create a new thread here so that's what I did.

I think, maybe, sometimes it would help to know why certain people were banned, for example for spamming PMs, scamming in sales thread, etc ... so if we had a deal before the person got banned and then gets banned while the TAT is still valid, we might know if we are ever to receive the service we ordered. I mean if I bought content or SEO package from someone and TAT is 3 weeks and he/she gets temp ban for violating certain, not marketplace, rules, I know that I can still receive the services ordered.

Yes it will be nice to know why some people/members got banned. I think the profile should read banned for xxx(reason)

    This idea has my vote.

I feel every banned account should have a public, profile-posted, MOD-published synopsis on why the member was banned; would be nice for transparency reasons.

Yeah its not same if someone is banned for trolling versus being banned for scamming people

    Another vote

I started dealing with a seller with an active account, 2 days after I've made payment he got a ban. Always helpful to know if this was purely scam, or just something else.

I understand might be hard for BHW to label users. Still I'm sure Mods can find ways to categorise bans, avoiding miss judgements, but still inform.

sorry i thought u said bhw most active member, cause im still here.

anyways been said many times, when a member is banned via shit list
    everyone knows why,

but when its done due to silly stuff like spamming
abusing members, selling via pm ect they wont tack it onto profiles.
this question has been answered many times by mods

also why should it matter why they where banned, when there
gone there gone, mods shouldnt have to tell us why, they
have little enough time running bhw without profile
    tagging thousands of banned accounts

When I buy from someone (he/she is not banned), I really don't think that they would have a thread about them on the shit list. Also, some people are actually busy with business. I don't really have the time to look at shit lists, I just want to order and move on with my life. When the TAT is near the end, I always look at the sales thread. Now if I saw the guy was banned, I wouldn't know if he/she was banned because he/she scammed or just violated some other non-marketplace rules. If I could see it on his OP or profile (somewhere next avatar or something), I would know immediately if I should chargeback (in case he/she scams people) or just wait until temp ban ends to sort it out.

Totally agree with you, there should be a sort of "Warning" signal on the profile of a user in case he or she has an openlist on going

This gets my vote as well. Adding to what members above have said, I think it would help enforce the rules better and that if people saw "banned for X", they'd be less inclined to do X.

I think the banned reason should be in drop down menu..its general reason like have 3 option
    1. Scam
    2. Violence of tos
    3. Other

And admin just pick that one..

Makes perfect sense not discussing bans, but categorising is possible, and I believe users will welcome this. Mods should have a think about it.
