Hi guys, I hope you have a good time.
    Well, this is the story:

I've been off for quite a time and my main hosting account expired in October 2012. All of my sites from this account have therefor been not active for nearly 4 months...

However, today I finally got back to the internet, paid 4 months old invoice for the hosting account and restored all the websites. However, at the moment, all the sites are deindexed in Google...

Before, some of these sites had a prety decent rankings and traffic and brought in good amount of cash and I obviously wish to get it back where it was before. Note: It goes about big informative sites with lot of content, all unique.

So, what sort of action would you recommend? I am thinking about pinging my first tier links, or about building second tier links to the first tier links and pinging those.

Anyway, I've no experience at all with this sort of situation. As well, I was out of SEO world for quite a time... So I am really not sure what to do. Therefor, any advice will be strongly welcome.

Thanks a lot in advance for your tips!

From my experience with a similar situation, my website didn't got the ranks back in a short time. Its normal since it looses some of the trust it had in the eyes of the search engines. But, after building some quality backlinks it regain the ranks in some months. I think your approach is the good one but take care of the BL you are building.

My experience is that with a gap of a few months with one website, it soon got reindexed and ranked well

I would assume that if the links are still life, you will recover your ranking with a panelty that will fade away in time.

    Good luck! :)
