So, I have been using Tumblr and Twitter for quite some time, just building up a following, not really caring much about monetizing them as of yet. I have come across a topic that is political in nature, that I actually have some pretty strong opinions on, and several people agree with me. I am thinking of starting an NPO 501(c)(3) or maybe 501(c)(4) I havent decided which yet and actually spending a lot of time on it trying to change policy politically on some of the topics so it isn't for Internet Marketing purposes only although we do plan on selling slogan tees, bumper stickers, and other paraphernalia, but that's not important..... Anyway, I have already secured twitter and tumblr accounts and domains etc regarding the name, but I have yet to get on Facebook. I have just never known much about Facebook, how to work it, the potential, etc... I just hear the horror stories of everyone getting banned and all of this information prying and verification... So questions..... Do you think organizations can get along without a FB presence? What is considered a "large" FB page in the world of Facebook? Are there any tricks (ie. quote posts, picture posts, infographics, etc) that work better than others at gaining likes or fans? Any safety tips that are paramount to not getting banned after doing all of this work? Appreciate any facebook help you want to interject on this thread, I need to learn all that I can.
