    I'd really appreciate it if anyone can direct me to a plugin that removes the author/date/posted by from WP posts. Been Googling all day and found nothing.

    Thanks guys,

    James :)

    No plugins needed. Just edit the theme file single.php (single post template) using the editor and remove the postmetadata codes. That's all.

    I don't know any plugins but for posts on their own page you can place this in the templates instead of the existing code.

    PHP:
    <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post();?>

         <?php the_title(); ?>
        <?php the_content(); ?>

        <?php endwhile; endif; ?>
    that will just display the title and content.

    This works perfectly for me but make a back up first!!!! just in case

    Hope this helps a little bit.

    If you update the theme, it will probably get back to how it was. So keep a note on it, incase you have set automatic updates, and is going to leave the blog as is.

    @Peterike: Does that remove the "posted by" and author text?

    Cheers,

    James:)

    James,

    - Login to your site dashboard. Look in "Appearance" -> "The Style Theme Options".
    - Locate the "Layout Settings" tabs -> disable on the icon of "Author", "Date", and "Comments" or as you want there.

    The option above is to hide in single post page.

    To hide in front page it should be this: open your theme style.css -> add this code all below
    In addition, if it didn't work, you could sending me the screenshot of the page where you want them to hide so that I could easily detect the page to hide though.

    I can do it for free by teamviewer later if you still need it to get done :) very easy, just go to Edit your code in WP, copy "author" or else what ya need, click ctrl + f and research all files. If you find - delete the whole script, but nothing more.

    I just found that the theme has a section to add the custom css.

    Therefore, login to your site Dashboard and locate the "The Style Theme Options" under Appearance.
    in "General Settings" tab, scroll down to the section of "Custom CSS" and add the css codes I've provided earlier.
    P.S: Remove the previous code from your style.css

    Not sure if hiding texts using css is what search engines love. They dont like it much as far as I know. Dont hide the text, let the text be not there at all lol. Remove the relevant lines from the theme. You havent got it done yet?
