Okay, I recently looked up a old m-space account I had on google, just for shits and gigs.

Well I found my old site that was PR4

Boy was I suprised.

So, I decided to see if I could re-register the account, signed up with a 10 minute mail account, and used the same account info
(ala. myspace.c0m/oldprofile)

And it worked, viola ..a PR4 page for free.

So I wondered .....could I do this to other peoples accounts?

Well sure thing, it worked.

Check this link to find old deleted PR3+ profiles for you to register.

HTML:
http://www.google.com.au/search?num=100&hl=en&as_qdr=all&q=%22This+user+has+either+cancelled+their+membership+or+their+account+has+been+deleted%22+site%3Amyspace.com&btnG=Search&meta=

Free PR3+ for you to set and forget with a nice DIV overlay or what have you. Nothing too amazing, but could result in some extra affiliate sales. Great ROI since its free.

Also, I haven't tried this. But a sites PR increases when the number of pages in the site increases. Solution for PR3 myspace profiles? Upload a bunch of pictures.

this is a known and old trick shitt dont really work anymore

Dang, I was about to try this out. Old trick that I missed thanks for sharing not all have the knowledge on this one.

Cheers

I am confused. You mean myspace.c0m/oldprofile can have a PR different to myspace.c0m? Isn't the PR domain based?

Yes...............................................................................................

So what exactly are you saying that the PR is good for? You can't pass the PR onto other sites because of their redirect so am I missing something?

The big G crawls rnyspace and you get juice for the links from what I have read.

Quote from a well known seo professional
Now, I've no idea how this has effected the site in question's PR yet, but what I can tell you is that it's flown up the SERP's and search engine traffic has increased dramatically - not to mention the extra traffic generated from people passing the site around Myspace, so the experiment has certainly been beneficial thus far.

As for increasing my PR? Well, the big argument against Myspace backlinks seems to be that they're generally just a lot PR0's. I have however noticed my site's link appearing in the comments section of a few profiles with PR's of 2-5, so they're not all totally useless. And as I mentioned, the SERP positions have increased on a weekly basis. So now, I'm just waiting to see if that little green bar grows a little, and to find out just how many useless Myspace backlinks you need to make them useful.

The links on Myspace are redirected so they don't pass any juice...check the date of the post from your pro...it is probably over 6 months old.

I just checked the link and not much came up. There should be a way to pass this juice though

Good luck with that project...if you can figure it out, you will become a very rich man ;)

I have a idea that might work........maybe

could you host videos on your own server then embed them onto your myspace profile? If so it may give link juice that way.

This thread was about making sales through myspace using a aged domain ( profile , whatever)

There is a way to get your link straight through without having the redirect, Use the web link app.

Seen on my profile on left hand side

Code:

But the app is in a iframe right? They don't pass link juice on either.

Not really sure, But I know that it shows my link and when clicked on, theres no redirect?

I could be wrong though, have been many times in my life. Ask the wife....lol

Lol....no worries man. I have tried a couple of these apps and although the link looks fine, you get nothing out of it. I have some old Myspace sites that had links up before the redirect and they are fine. But if you make one edit to the page POOF, your links turn to redirects. So before I touch them again, I want to make sure it is going to work ;)

No its not a iframe. Its a non functional screen shot with a myspace supported msplinks bypass

Code:
<table id="appchrome_102068" border="1" width="300" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bordercolor="#6699cc" class="userProfileApp"><tr><td id="appchromeheader_102068" width="300" height="15" bgcolor="#6699cc" class="text tdborder" align="left" style="WORD-WRAP:break-word;"><div style="float: left">   </div><div style="float: left"><a href="http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=102068"><span class="whitetext12">Web Link</span></a></div></td></tr><tr><td class="appcontent tdborder"><iframe id="apppanel_102068_profile" name="apppanel_102068_profile" src="http://api.msappspace.com/apprendering/102068/profile.left/10282008043344/1_0_0/render.app#ZRju7swlyYIaI0hVIwTps0fi5oWB7W%2bbExIhPZY0v7JUs23cghXokWO82XhAKdZ2MIibM636sBrZ6VF4vCzo7gvxYDvwxzacGikC0Z%2b6vVA%3d&opensocial_surface=profile.left&userLoggedOut=1&perm=%5b%22DisplayOnProfile%22%2c%22DisplayOnHome%22%2c%22AccessToPublicVideosPhotos%22%5d&viewer_perm=&ownerId=394835132&viewerId=-1&installState=0&country=US&lang=en" width="300" height="300" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" style="border: none; background:transparent;"></iframe><br /></td></tr></table><br /><table id="appchrome_120267" border="1" width="300" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bordercolor="#6699cc" class="userProfileApp"><tr><td id="appchromeheader_120267" width="300" height="15" bgcolor="#6699cc" class="text tdborder" align="left" style="WORD-WRAP:break-word;"><div style="float: left">   </div><div style="float: left"><a href="http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=120267"><span class="whitetext12">Guitar Hero World Tour -...</span></a></div></td></tr><tr><td class="appcontent tdborder"><iframe id="apppanel_120267_profile" name="apppanel_120267_profile" src="http://api.msappspace.com/apprendering/120267/profile.left/11302008070519/1_0_0/render.app#6%2bMfOUEl6rKjukeBbB9sjQwi%2fp%2b%2f8iA046ynk098ivFtnnZU%2bKwegrorZKOEw7CbhV1z9Ai%2fQ0mc0VGiMysCtYwEWqq7CZ2LyOF5y9zsZ6E%3d&opensocial_surface=profile.left&userLoggedOut=1&perm=%5b%22DisplayOnProfile%22%2c%22DisplayOnHome%22%2c%22SendUpdatesToFriends%22%2c%22ShowUpdatesFromFriends%22%2c%22AllowSendingEmails%22%2c%22AccessToPublicVideosPhotos%22%5d&viewer_perm=&ownerId=394835132&viewerId=-1&installState=0&country=US&lang=en" width="300" height="300" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" style="border: none; background:transparent;"></iframe>
<br /></td></tr></table>

Edit: Sorry the code gets messed up but you are still pulling the app into an Iframe....just view the source of the page.
