What Do you think could be the costs of beating a news company that is worth $50 million? There is a news company here that someone bought for that amount, and they employ the following.

    6 reports
    8 anchors
    2 sports announcers
    5 weather forecasters

I'm thinking that If I outsource work, hire college interns, and I am an online news company to start with I could beat them with less then $100,000. There is no local news company here that streams the news live on their website.

If you get some good niche/broad traffic and subscribers, you could be making bank in advertisment

if you are talking online, you will never reach the same demographics as the news team. 'our generation' uses online news media but it will still be hard to steal the demographic that does not own the computer or uses it as a main venue for their news

But If I start online, and then get airtime on public access. I could start to get a bigger following to eventually purchase a tv license and fcc permit etc.
