I see it everyday, I read a thread and I see information that is total BS. Many people are sheep don't be one of them. Wrong information gets disseminated on this forum quite often. One person posts some wacky information off a guess or what someone else told them and others start passing along this information like they know what they are talking about. Just because you read something on this forum or another to be fair, does not mean that it is true. How do you shift through the information to make sure it is true? If something catches your eye do some research on the topic. Yes research! No offense to people starting off on this forum, but I mostly tend to take peoples advise that have been in the business and weathered throughout years and years not someone who started 2 months ago. Ask questions, read books, Google it! PM people to talk, some won't want to and that is their prerogative but quite a few people will answer questions to you. Now they of course are not going to spoon feed you everything they do in a PM. But if you get to know people by talking in the threads and PM's you should start to gain valuable information. Test out theories! I would rather lose a domain knowing for myself something doesn't work then to not try something because someone else said it didn't. You might be surprised with the outcome. By the way, if you lose a domain the easy fix is to drop it, clone the files, (I use WPTWIN) delete it and in a few weeks put all the data on a new domain. What not to do! Example: Don't just skim through a thread and because you saw a newbie (sometime seasoned vets) post don't use spun content with another 8 newbies following him (ba ba ba) saying basically his same post doesn't constitute as research or being good information!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is like the old saying the apple won't fall far from the tree. Same thing with who you choose to listen too. Heed my advise and I am pretty sure you will be successful.
