    Hey guys,

I'm starting a product review site but want to give my readers as many options are possible as to where to buy the product. I know that eBay works on the number & quality of clicks, whilst Amazon may be better due to it being pure commission. From a user experience perspective though, I think it'd be better to give readers the choice.

What are other people's thoughts on this? Thanks!

Diversification is always a smart idea ;) You don't want 100% of your online income coming from one source, take my word for that one!

If your conversions on Ebay are crap compared to Amazon, then look for other sources of revenue to replace Ebay with.

When I do amazon I deal strictly amazon and when I do others like clickbank it's strictly that. Get a mentor, tutorials, videos, experiment, rinse and repeat once you found a workable system.

Thanks for the replies - this is the other side of the coin - Amazon converts better so from a monetary perspective I want to direct users to that. However, I also want to give users as much choice as possible. I think I'll trial using eBay as well and if I end up losing too much money from it I'll just switch to pure Amazon.

You should diversify and put the eggs in more than 1 basket. From my experiences and from the tests I made, Amazon works the best without anything else. I tried with Ebay, Adsense, Clickbank,etc...the best results I had from Amazon alone.

So it properly and you won't need alternative money methods for that specific website.

eBay is fundamentally unwelcoming to affiliates. They rejected my whitehat site twice. Amazon is the reverse.

Amazon is very good at selling you something, or something else, or a collection of stuff, way more than what you came in for.

Amazon gives you up to 100 tracking ids (you can request more). So you don't have a footprint.

    The choice is clear.

eBay can be great for items you can't find on amazon... I never had a problem with being accepted on eBay.

Thanks for all the replies - have a better understanding now :) - still undecided atm though - think I may get set up with Amazon and get converting then think about introducing eBay
