Hey guys. I'm 20 and from the UK. I'm active on many different forums and came across this place a few weeks ago. After lurking for a while I have been learning so much. After reading through the 'seo jacking' thread by Meathead (many thanks to him and the contributors), I have decided that I'm just going to do it and start my journey. In that thread there is a post by Freddyjames where he says

which I found to be absolutely true. I have learned the above in theory but now it's time to put it into practice, but here lies the purpose of this thread.

How do you guys go about doing something like the above from a security/safety point of view. I'll list my questions to make it easier. I apologize if it seems really basic and I have tried searching for the answers but I still don't have a good enough understanding:

    1) Is Meatheads technique technically breaking any rules (not that I care at all but just for information's sake)
    2) Would I need to register a domain and hosting with a fake name and address?
    3) Would paying for the domain/hosting with my main personal card cause any potential problems?
    4) If I use Amazon associates program or Cb or whatever, would there be any problems in getting paid into my personal bank account?

I would be very grateful if you could make me aware of any other things to prevent me from getting in any potential problems. Thank you guys very much.

If you're worried about your personal information becoming available while doing something that angers people, consider Whois Guard which masks that data and can be obtained for free (first year) when you register a domain through Namecheap.

    3) Don't bother with fake accounts unless you plan on breaking the law, and if you want to build anything long-term then you shouldn't.
    4) As long as you can cash checks and you're able to provide your SSN then you're fine.

Thanks for the reply. I read that even with the Whois Guard, your information could still be obtained from the hosting companies if somebody really wanted it?
