Basic Content Spinning - SEO Technique

    What?

    content spinning AKA "spintax" or just "spinning" is a very simple process of using code and a decent thesaurus to take an existing word/phrase/article and convert it into near infinite variations while remaining true to the original topic and flow of the piece.

    As a very simple example we can take a statement and apply spintax which will give us variation on a single word.

    This is achieved with 3 operators

    { = opens the spin and sets all that follows to be spun until the close operator is encountered
    | = separates the variants
    } = closes the sequence

    Original

    I try to never drink more than 2 pints at lunch.

    Original + Spintax

    I try to never drink more than {2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9|10} pints at lunch.

    Example Output

    I try to never drink more than 2 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 3 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 4 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 5 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 6 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 7 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 8 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 9 pints at lunch.
    I try to never drink more than 10 pints at lunch.

    When utilised within a spin enabled platform the above sentence will output 9 variations on a single word in the sentence. The sentence comprises of 11 words, one of which we have spun giving us 9 repetitions with a single word being unique 9 times while retaining the flow of the original sentence.

    If we apply this technique to the rest of the sentence to the maximum capability while retaining subject and flow we would end up with this code.

    Code

    Why?

    This technique we original conceived to cut costs on content creation / copywriting but to also circumvent the Google algorhythm which not only penalises duplicate content but no longer index?s content when it has been indexed in another location.

    This could be seen as a black hat technique but with all these techniques found within the darker areas of the industry these techniques can be utilised on white hat projects with great success.

    Imagine the standard press release being submitted across a syndicated PR network, in theory only a single instance of this release will be indexed and in most cases that index will be awarded to the highest PR site which has the highest frequency of search engine indexing.

    If that same PR piece had been spun to a level which makes it unique to the eyes of the algorithm that single piece should be indexed in every instance of submission which from a SEO perspective counts as backlinks.

    Taking this process one step further taking the google over optimisation update (code name Penguin) the current best practice would be to utilise spintax within the html code to spin both the html link but also the anchor text / keyword.
