    What kind of developer should look for to make me a banner ad rotator script, which will display different banner ads each time someone visits my blog?

    I remember using this plugin successfully in the past: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-injection/

    I have started developing a plugin that will have this feature too, but it's far from being ready, maybe in a month or so...
    I'll probably announce it here, as it will be free.

    There's tons of free scripts just by searching on google. There's no need to hire a developer.

    You got any web hosting?
    I'm sure this could be done with javascript, but that's not something I got experience with.
    Take this code, create a file named adrotate.php and upload it to your host/domain.
    Code:
    <?php
    function randomphoto() {
        $photos = array(
        "http://i.imgur.com/wYoGfCX.jpg",
        "http://i.imgur.com/0vqyroX.jpg",
        "http://i.imgur.com/QAkGcCW.jpg",
        "http://i.imgur.com/5DeFLwC.png",
        "http://i.imgur.com/7s9tFxH.jpg",

    );

        $random = rand(0, (count($photos) - 1));
        return $photos[$random];
    }

    header('Location: '.randomphoto());
    exit;
    ?>

    At your tumblr blog add this where you want the add to be shown.
    Code:
    <img src="http://[B]YOURDOMAIN.COM[/B]/adrotate.php" height="250px;" width="250px;"/>
    Adjust the width and height after your needs.

    Con: It may do a lot of requests to your hosting depending on how much traffic your tumblr blog gets.
    Pro: You can use the above (2nd) snippet on how many sites you want and still control them all from the same place (that file you uploaded).
    Simply add/delete image url rows after your requirements.

    This method uses a random function instead of rotating.
    But in a test I made with about 10 million requests the split between just 2 images was about 49.9% / 50.1%. So it's still pretty accurate.
