Hi everyone.

I don't know if anyone can answer this question but here goes and if someone has had their ip blocked youy can answer my question :

I am currently using a family pc to post ads to gumtree, craigslist and other classified sites but i just have one problem.

What happens if gumtree/craigslist ban your ip?

Do they just deny you access to their site or will they complain to your isp and cut off your broadband access?

I know this sounds a bit far fetched but i do not want the rest of my family to suffer if the isp cuts off the broadband!

Thanks to anyone that answers my question!!

deny from posting - they wouldn't go through the trouble of finding you etc

Siek is right. Unless you are breaking the law with your postings (like fraud, or offering things that are clearly illegal, especially weapons or something like that), the worst they will do is ban your account and possibly your IP.

If you are pushing any sort of volume, you might want to read up on proxies - there are plenty of ways to cloak yourself, even from your family pc.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I have tried a few good working proxies on gumtree but they seem to pick up on this quickly and the ads don't show.
Anyone recommend a proxy company that they have used to post on gumtree?

Cheers

Have you tried using TOR or phpproxy? that should solve your problem

Seoproxies.com has been doing alright for me so far. Might want to give them a trial run.
