banned from PayPal - any chance to recover?

    hi folks

    I had my PayPal account for almost 15 years now. I used it both for private and business related transfers. Lastly I moved quite big amounts over my account.

    A couple of days ago I received a message from PP that they closed my account for certain reasons. I am really pissed because I need it so much for my transfers.

    I already contacted the support and proved their assumptions wrong. Unfortunately I never got a reply. I read a bit through the www and found that they probably will not even make a serious attempt to investigate my issue but just leave it closed.

    My question now: How can I open a new account without that it gets banned again right away? I assume I need to use a new bank account as the current associated bank account is blacklisted now? What else can I do? Fortunately my name is quite common thus they cannot just blacklist my name. With another bank account and email address I would be quite safe?

    Why not just confirm your ID and get the account back?

    I usually make a new PP just before I reach the 2500 euro limit, you'll probably be better off with a few accounts but call them!

    If there was any money in the account, after they "investigated" your account they will give any held funds to you.

    thats not my problem. I was banned for other reasons. Not temporarily because of 2500 euro limit

    My account was completely closed, not temporarily. All I did was give you a method that I use for when one of my pp's are banned and I need to pivot to a new one.

    I am over 2500 pretty fast, thats not an option. Do you use the same bank account for all PP accounts?

    Yeah never had a problem with using the same pp on multiple accounts, you can list them on two accounts at once

    Have you tried to call their CS? My 5 year account got limited due to some heavy transaction from Europe. I called them they asked to add some Documents like bank statement/groceryy bill etc after a week they lift the limitation.
    Better to call them instead of emailing.

    Do you do something they don't allow? Have you tried speaking to them over the phone?

    dont email them call them ! it works better i have over 10k lost in a single paypal when i call them too much the locked it now cant login this is just things u have to get use to when using them!

    They normally ban high risk accounts.

    what I am wondering is this: Do they also ban the associated bank account? Do they save my IP or User Agent?

    1) change the debit/credit card associated to PP - now you will not be able to use your old card on a lot of places online as braintree has blacklisted your card (it isn't an assumption)
    2) start using Stripe (easy web integration and lower commissions)

    I feel your pain.. :/

    What happens if I open a new account with the same CC / bank account associated? Will they close it right away or do I have a chance to keep it?

    Its a bit change scenario but anyway contact @secondeye because he knows the Paypal issue better than other.
