    Hey guys,

I got the following in an email today:

They go on to say they won't be paying me for what I've generated.

I generate a few $k a month with them but it's through a totally legitimate channel on facebook (an app), nothing blackhat. I'm not sure what the paragraph above "means" in their speak either to be honest.

Anyone with more experience with Amazon's affiliate program have any insight? Or have an idea of where/how to contact them to get an answer? I used their general amazon associates contact form but I'm not expecting to get too much out of that venue.

Hmm, well I certainly didn't do any cookie stuffing. They owe me a few $k right now so I'm not going to let them just up and leave with my money. I'd rather resolve it amicably but I'll definitely take them to small claims court if necessary.

Does anyone know of a way to contact them for these kinds of issues?

What did your app do? Sounds like cookie stuffing to me as well from their message.

    Any feedback?

I just got banned from Amazon also, would love to hear if and how you reclaimed the funds.

I promote Amazon in a way that, as far as I can tell, is neither explicitly allowed nor disallowed in their TOS, and I'm getting increasingly worried about getting banned before my first paycheck because of some of these horror stories.

How does Amazon feel about product linking in comment sections of blogs, forum posts, etc.? I would consider what I do completely upfront ("Here is *this* product at Amazon that you might be interested in" sort of posts), and it's all manual, no scrapebox or xrumer automation at all. I don't think there's anything shady about the promotion itself -- but does Amazon respect this sort of medium? Or am I headed for trouble?

I'm still hoping for an answer for my question above -- if anyone knows, please, please let me know about this. You can understand why I would be reluctant to put my account in jeopardy by asking Amazon directly.

I'm interested in hearing more myself because I've read many times once Amazon chooses to close one's account, there's next to no hope of the company reversing its decision. Amazon seems to be one of the more "iffy" companies out there to work with...

Amazon are pure bastards to work with. Once they shut your account down you will never get it back. From the message they sent you it seems they think you were cookie stuffing.

the only thing i can think of is maybe they were using your app, then doing something else, then going on amazon and buying something. that way they would be tagged with your cookie but without a referral?

you must have had a lot of people using that app if this is the case!

i really don't know though, amazon have been a bunch of crooks in my experience too
