I wrote a blog post a while ago and gave it a random title and url and planned to use it as filler content that I dont care if it ranks or not.

However, I only now just found a perfect keyword for this article. The problem is that the blog post is indexed, with a completely irrelevant title and url from this keyword.

I do not want to write a new article when this one is perfect for this keyword. So, I am wondering: Would rebranding the entire article by changing the url and title be okay?

I've never rebranded a post before and don't know if google would re-rank it under for its new title and keyword or penalize it or something.

Personally, I don't think re-naming one article is going to make a lot of difference either way.

If you didn't build any link to that article url, you need not to worry about anything. Just change title and url. Redirect old url to new url.
