Hey guys I am looking for some help right now I don't know what to do.

With the keywords " my company name" in Google. A thread in a forum concerning my industry with the title "My company sucks!"

I emailed the admin and they said that I should have dealt with the bad press 8 years ago. I said they haven't had an internet guy since they were opened 40 years ago until me.

They said that the link doesn't originate from their forum.

I said yeah it does, "It backlinks directly to your site."

They said that I have to contact Google because the words "suck or simi valley" do not show up in the thread. Which is true. When you click the link all you can see is the responses to the story??

How do I get Google to remove the link? Or what can I do?

Build more pages that target the company name.

Get those indexed and push the other website stating "your company name sucks" down.

Also, edit your post if possible. I don't know if you want your company name indexed in BHW when people search for your company name.

Since its just your company name, it shouldn't be too hard to go above the other listing.

^What he said. If you don't know how to do this, look up someone who provides reputation management services, which is what you need.

Yep its a simple matter of creating good content like press releases, social media profiles, web 2.0's, and reviews on blogs or similar content and then getting them to outrank that page by backlinking them for the keywords that the bad press shows up for. Since it is an aged piece of content that makes it just a bit more tedious to bump off but I do stuff like this for clients on a regular basis and its not impossible, just takes a bit of time.

Why wouldn't I want my company name indexed in BHW?

Also I got a-hold of another admin who wasn't such a jerk. I was pretty pissed when the other admin told me i should have dealt with the bad press 8 years ago if i didn't like it.

I let the new admin that I had already emailed my law professor, but the new admin was super helpful. So I didn't sick the dogs.

The new admin removed the thread entirely, then after about ten minutes of research I figured out how to use Google's link removal tool.

Do you think that if I wanted different domains, since mine is pretty limited.

For example if I got a bunch of one page websites through go daddy. With domains like socaltriumphmotorcycles, basically keyword rich domain names.

Then find out a way to have each of those new webpages redirect to my main site?

    Would that create more traffic?

Concerning your company name on BHW, it's up to you however people who are unfamiliar with what we do here may have a wrong impression.

Can you get domains like socialtriumpmotorcycles.com and redirect them to your website? Of course you can. But then you'll need to host all of them and set up content for each of them and link them to your website.

That may bring traffic but then you'll have to rank for those websites.

If you're thinking of doing a basic redirect then it wont bring any additonal traffic because the number of pople who would typein the domain and be redirected to your website would be very slim.

If you follow the steps below then you can get more traffic.
Search for keywords related to your business. Then write content based upon those keywords.

Set up a Google Places listing if possible.

Depending upon your type of business, it may be beneficial to have some form of social media outlet (facebook page/ twitter feed)

    OK ,

I understand what you are saying for the most part. I just thought that SEO had a lot to do with the name of your domain in doing SEO.

Getting the pages to rank would probably be hard because of the size of the one page site. Compared to other legit motorcycle sites with thousands and thousands of links.

See I am getting about 150-170 visitors per day, and I am not sure what would be an average or below average. I want to have the phones blowing up!

As for as you saying writing content. Should I mainly focus writing the content on my site or should I do the blogging option.

I also have an incentive I have created for google places yelp insider pages.... %coupon for 10% off anything in the store if they print a copy of the review or show me on their smart phone.

I also have a Facebook page, Didn't use youlikehits or fiverr to blow up my likes. I used a coupon from fiverr for $100.00 of advertising and created a social story campaign for friends of people who already like my page.

Got 37 new likes so far.... I dont know I am still learning but I love this forum and I really want to be comfortably rich!

It is quite simple but the page must throw a 404 or 410 header response OR be blocked by robots.txt first. If you do either of those things and then submit a request the page (or domain/subdomain) will be removed promptly.

    What does this mean?

He just means that the page must be taken down and when you try to go to the url the server will just respond to the request that the URL was not found. There is a robots.txt generator in google webmaster tools if I am not mistaken that will help you with the other.

    Update:

I was able to get the link removed from Google's database! I had to manipulate the link removal by informing Google that the link was expired by putting invalid thread after the link that I wanted removed.

Pretty sweet my boss was really happy with it.
