    Hello Friends,

I have been a long time contributer here on BHW and now I need your help. I created a website for a guy and he never paid me. This guy has been the worst person I have ever dealt with. Additionally, he is threatening my social life and future business reputation. Friends, I would like to know what I can do to annihilate his search results. I know there are other methods available, but this guys is fear based. He will stop at nothing to make my life a nightmare. So, he needs to be afraid of me to stop his bull shit.Any ideas?

Also-the reason why this is in freelancing is because I want to hire someone to do this. I might not have the time available.

Yes, I have FTP. He changed all the login information. So I deleted all the files I created for him. But, I predict if I do anything to ruin the reputation it would have to be done anonymously. He is using network solutions

    He screwed me for $2,500

I want him to have a horrible google serp reputation. Possibly lose some of the clients he works for. The sad part is, this guy does PR for charity companies. It makes me sick these companies are paying this guy. I want to take all his business!

I am open to ideas..Pm me if needed. It's more of a leverage issue. I want the leverage that if he want's to ruin my reputation. I want him to see my capabilites.

If it's a company submit a bad review to review sites/directories ... they will show up on mainpage and tell him that you won't remove if it doesn't pay you.
If it's a local client hire a bodyguard and go and beat him

Yeah I would say write an article or two. And get them to rank for his name, or the service he provides. Like a really bad article. RipOffReport

Then charge him to remove pop those articles out of the search rankings. Boost the price a ton, so you can recover your original losses. Good luck

What a hideous person he is. How come he is now enjying loads of bucks, but then he doesn't even have the conscience of paying the man that actually worked hard to provide a gateway for him to earn.

In my experience, this is a losing game. If he is as bad as you say he is, whatever you do to him now will result in more retailiation and both of you will lose. You can post bad stuff about him, and then he can easily do the same for you.

This guy sounds like a real asshole...shit like this happens. One web designer I know would only show pictures of a site until payment was recieved.

    Getting a 50% deposit helps.

As for revenge, I haven't thought of method that wouldn't backfire.

Is this guy bigger than you?

RipOffReport is always good. I also find that when someone posts a bad review of my sites on forums, directories, or other webpages, it always ranks fairly high on Google.

You can also use this experience for next time. The screenshots of website seems like good idea.

    Great suggestions :)

This guy is a dinosaur with the internet so he really can't figure out ways to hurt my rep.

UPDATE: He claimed he is sending a lawyer to get a refund of the 50% ($1,500) he put down. On the contract HE signed, I said he would pay for attorney fees if he decides to press any charges if anything happens. He also breached several things even though he claimed I did. I have a paper trail of emails I can use in a small claims court.

You need a lawyer. Making up stuff online will only make things worse. You would want to simplify and resolve your problems rather than making them bigger. If he sues you, you can always countersue him. Just make sure you keep track of every correspondence. If it's a phone call, record it but let him know about that, otherwise it would be illegal.

You have a legally binding contract so take advantage of it and lawyers will take your case more serious since its just not about your words against his. What exactly is the problem anyway? Your post is confusing. Your first post says he never paid you but then your update says he is getting a lawyer to get his $1500 down back. Now which one is true?

If you put lies on the internet, then this will bite you back in the long run and ruin your reputation. It wont stay anonymous as you think because your case is hot and if your client sees anything negatively affecting his company, your name will be the first thing that will pop up on his mind. So be careful.

He paid me 1,500 to begin. He was going to give me 1,500 for another website I was working and another 1,000 for this website.Because I am not a pro at writing contracts, the best thing I have is a flawless email conversation. I would never make anything up. But will certainly make the proper measures if he decides to pull rank. I know this guy..You probably do too. He is the type that lie to your face and to something completely different. He needs to be strong armed to listen. He is a beveraly hills brat that needs to be taught a lesson.

What is the reason he is turning back against you?

Are you both on the same country? And How was the contract signed?

Well, if you have a hard copy of the contract, and if it is perfectly written, make a copy of the work you did for him as the proof for the completion of work, and sue him for not paying the rest!

As long as you have a copy of the work you did for him, and the email conversations, you arent going to be beaten!
