I read Matt Cutts (Google engineer) blog and he mentions that Google works on new algorithms and fight with the linkspam. The people can report the web sites that appear to be using spammy links (e.g. paid links that pass PageRank, blog spammers, guestbook spammers, etc.)

This action must affect the webmasters who build links using ScrapeBox and Xrumer.

Here is the page to report spam: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport?pli=1

Um, this is nothing new is it? That link to report spammy pages was available to everyone for quite some time now, no?

    Am I missing something...

Time to fire up that "report all my competition for linkspamming" bot.

I wouldn't be too worried about this.

This is cool, one of my sites is sitting nicely at #101. I can just spam the Top 100 sites and I'll get to #1.

    .. I doubt it.

If you use scrapebox properly there should be no reason why you would ever be reported for spam anyway :)

Ah yes another attempt to cover an exploit with a supposed algorithm change. The only thing that changed is Matt Cutts now uses artificial sweetener for his coffee.

I think you guys are dead wrong, absolutely dead wrong. Matt Cutt's has NEVER changed his coffee sweetener, I have a mole on the inside.

The only way is by manual checking.

Only big establish sites or hugely competitive keywords like 'iphone' need to worry.

Micro niche sites won't have any issues at all.

Nope, you're not. It's just the latest bunch of people getting scared over a Matt Cutt's video.

This news is a bit old, and it really is nothing to worry about.

If you know how to use your tools properly, then you will have nothing to worry about.
