    question is simple.

let say i have a domain http://xxxxxx.com good ranked on google and i want to create new backlinks.

when i create backlinks will they be counted by search engines if i create them pointing to: "http:/xxxxxx.com/" ??

and what if i create them pointing to http://www.xxxxxx.com or http://www.xxxxxx.com/

will they be counted in any case or not???

If you set up 301 redirect from www to non-www or vice versa, all the authorities/link juice will be granted to the end page.

The additional www makes a difference. Your link juice will be split unless you have redirects set up. Here's a tutorial on how to do it using htaccess.

    Code:
    http://enarion.net/web/apache/htaccess/redirect-www-and-no-www/

the only problem now is that it is redirecting all the www. traffic to my http:// homepage and not to its specific page without the www.

i do not know if it is good or not.

what do you suggest me to do?
