Hello.

Are backlinks with NO achor text really useful?

I am using scrapebox.

What i need to know is how i can associate the correct anchor text with the right backlink.

Eg:

www.whatever.com/fish
www.whatever.com/dog
www.whatever.com/horse

How can i in scrapebox, set it so every time www.whatever.com/fish is sent as a backlink, my name sets as Fish to get the keyword as a backlink?

If i CANNOT do this with scrapebox, how will just having a link to www.whatever.com/fish with no anchor text help?
Are links without anchor text of much value?
I thought the reason for the anchor text was to tell Google...

Ok www.whatever.com/fish (Title = Fish) - Google sees the link with the "Fish" keyword and thinks, ok that page is about fish!

Thanks

I don't believe there's any way in Scrapebox to specify which anchor text to use with each URL. However, backlinks with no anchors are still effective. After all, you want to make the backlinks look as natural as possible, so if anything it can help. If a website was genuinely linking to a page of your site, they're not always going to include anchor text.

You can do it like this:

Code:
http://www.catsite.com {cats|cat food|cat health|cat diets}
http://www.dogsite.com {Dogs|dog diets|dog food}

In ScrapeBox click Help >> Basic Comment Poster Usage, then scroll down to the Link Lock heading there's also example .zip file you can download.

But yes, getting plain URL links is also beneficial.

As SEO and online marking evolves a a back link without targeted anchor text will be about as useful as a blow job from a tiger!

You can do nested spins in Scrapebox right? I got to thinking about this and you could do

{{Cat Site|Great Cat Site|Amazing Cat Site}|{Dog Site|Great Dog Site|Amazing Dog Site}}

Would that not work? I gotta test it in my scrapebox but its doing something atm lol.

But this way it will spin which one, cat, dog, etc then spin the anchor text.

Backlinks with no anchor text will carry about a 10% value. They are fantastic for indexing. Let me say thata again:

THEY ARE FANTASTIC FOR INDEXING.

Beyond that they are not that useful. Concentrate on decent keyword rich backlinks from 'on topic' sources.

backlinks without an anchor text will still help with indexing your site. The indexing just won't be targeted to any specific keywords. It should still help add value to your indexing for your onsite keyword terms. It also keeps your backlinking campaign looking more natural, and should even help a little with branding to some extent. (Have you ever done a search for an exact website name and found them to be in position 3 or 4, or even lower, this should help that some). You definately want the bulk of your backlinks though to be anchored to your keywords. That's the traffic you want to target, so you want to be sure to get indexed well for them.

The way I understand it, they are useful, and even more so if you have a keyword rich domain name.
