Backlinks to internal pages

I have a Shopify website and was able to get my blog google news approved. I have been writing several unique articles, but none of them are being indexed by google news. They are all being indexed by google search.

How much value will building backlinks to the blog add? Will it help my individual blog articles rank better?

Also, would building g backlinks to my store collections help individual products rank better?
