I search "stop JVM" on Google.
This link ranks number 1: http://www.artima.com/legacy/answers/Dec2000/messages/11.html

This link has 0 Google backlink.
But the main domain http://www.artima.com/ has 1280 Google backlinks.

Is it that my website only need 1 Google backlink with anchor "stop JVM" to get the number 1 position on Google or it has to be 1281 Google backlinks.

I would say that if you got a few DO FOLLOW quality high PR in your Niche with your Keyword you would be good.

Google doesn't show real number of back links. Check through yahoo site explorer. The main domain got 107,000 back links out of that 959 are from .edu

Mostly google is treating it as an authority domain because of which it will rank high for many keywords related to the main theme of the site..
