I don't understand something. When I have a moneysite and I create about 3 blogs and write 3 articles every week on those blogs to link them to my moneysite, is it enough that each blog links one time only to the moneysite and not every single article? Or should every single article have a link to the moneysite to improve the ranking? How does that work?

How long does it take for a new website/blog to reach PR 1?

    kaliv,

In general the more links you have flowing from one domain to another, the more PR is flowing. There are caveats to that though. For instance if you only have these three blogs and there are thousands of links being created all the time every time there is a post, that looks spammy and will eventually be noticed. I would say link a dozen times or so and then take it easy.

Focus on making those blogs better websites because that is what will help the main site. You could make links all year long but if the second tier isn't authoritative, you are wasting your time.
I'm not sure on your PR question. PR is only updated once or twice a year. Maybe a few months to reach PR 1 if you are consistently building high quality backlinks?

Perhaps you can find some more tiered link building tips here,

If you're trying to make money, don't worry about PR.

As far as your tier ones go, you want them to look like natural websites that are authorities in their niche. You want these sites to eventually gain PR which will be passed on to your money site. I think it's best to include a variety of links on your tier one posts. Have some posts have 1 link, some posts have 2 links, some have 3, and some 4 if the article is long enough. Add 1-3 money site links and some Wikipedia or other informational links from authoritative websites in them. Make it look like you're not trying to rank.
