Can someone explain to me the difference between linking to a domain and linking to a page or a post on that domain? If I post a ezine article and include a backlink in the resource box, should I grab any URL or should I use my domain to link? Some people say that its good to link to pages/posts on your blog but I dont see why. Can someone explain? TY

you should do both. Think about it. When you come across a really helpful blog post that you want to share do you direct people to the blog or to the specific post? building links to a specific page is more natural in most cases.
