Google says: "do not put a link in the body of your comment, that is considered spamming".

I know, I know....I just need some clarification on this. I have used some services on this forum with great success.....just looking to see what you guys think.

Angela Edwards: "It kind of makes me chuckle that the very same folks who believe Google can't find their linksand that they will never get indexed unless they ping or Social Bookmark them think that the slightest tweak to their site is going to get them penalized. Either Google "sees all" or Google doesn't. Can't have it both ways"

I am still going to use links in comments. BTW, I think Angela is right with her remarks.

That may be what Google says, but have you also considered what the Bible says about link spamming?

Google? Who is google. They aren't the internet. The independent you are from google, the better it is. They are scamming all the PPC affiliates with their damn google slaps that cost me a lot of money.

Statements like this is what keeps people from really progressing. If everyone watched for it to be "natural," it would take 10 years before you meet how much your competitor has in a week.

Take anything you hear from Google with a grain of salt. They don't have your best interests at heart.

Regardless, I don't put links in the body of comments, anyway.

I just use a mixture of my keywords/a random name in the "name" field of the comment submission with a link back to my site.

Google need to do some changes regarding backlinks. I use backlinks , I add keywords in signature instead of adding signature and link keywords to website.

I wouldn't worry about it. The fact is that it works and you have to do it to stay competitive and rank.
