for money sites, do it manually on high PR pages, for tier 1 sites (web 2.0, any other backlinks) do it in bulk using scrapebox. you will have a home run in 4 weeks or so.

Backlinks are still Backlinks and will of course always help you gain traffic. There is no such thing as a bad Backlink.
