    Hey,

I've got a question about backlinking.

I have my moneysite which i want to direct all traffic+backlinks to.

So, i set-up another site (on the same IP) which contains JUST information about the niche. If i was to link back to the moneysite on EVERY page (e.g. link at bottom of article), what would the effect be on moneysite's ranking?

    Thanks

if i were you,i would not do that.not because i think it would damage the site but i know a lot of other better link building methods. As to tell you whether it is bad for the health of the site,i am really not sure what to say.hope you are good at link building, aren't you?why not resort to other methods instead of using your own properties.

Actually building secondary sites and using them to boost your money site works pretty well. It does need to be on a different ip and nameserver and I personally use private whois for my boosting sites.

You can also use web2.0 pages and articles from ezine etc for the same purpose. Build them and backlink them to get some PR on the actual pages. The advantage of doing it with your own sites is that you have control. You know when you start building that secondary page up it is not going to be deleted by someone else because you own it.

For a different IP + nameserver, guess that would mean new hosting account?
