Serious question. Im wondering theres alot of discussion about links and the more the better(some say the faster the better) but what is to much? Are you guys constantly building links all the way to the top?(and does this work?) or slow pauses between or what?

Not always. The most valuable links on the web i find are on the blog "CopyBlogger"

I got like 2 links in high qualtiy articles and was ranking in 2k search terms a month with only like 50 backlinks lol. But is a bitch because they ban emails, and blogs pretty fast. Also they dont ever really let blogger.com domains in so its a bitch. They might even ban IP.

Really i have a set list of spots to spam. Also if i see a website ahead of me im a dick and will use Backlink Checkers and steal there banklink spots so i match them link for link. Then add in my own tricks and

    BAM
Im number 1 or i have a high page rank thus to sell links on digital point.

I think after Mayday, the rules have changed a little.

I have been looking at the results in search, and I am finding term results showing sites with less links getting top ranking while the sites with 1000s of links are in the bottom of the barrel on the first or second page.

One thing that is consistent though, is the need for consistency in your link strategy. Take some time to look at your competition for some of the core terms you are going after. You are going to see a pattern emerge very quickly.

Look at how many links each of them has to their pages.

It might turn out hat you only need as little as something like 5-10 links every other day to beat them out. The more important part of your ranking will involve the content quality you offer.

It appears Google has taken broad term searches and tuned them to go towards more exact match sites with quality signals of matching category content. ie. if it's a shopping term, site has product, if it's an information term, site has articles, writeups, if it's an image term, the site has images.. and so on.

    Good luck.

You want your link building to look natural. I have found that building links consistently over time with high quality high PR relevant sites, will always work the best. As the site ages, you can build more and more links at a higher pace, but still always want it to be as natural as possible. This is known as link velocity.

I think its a good idea to start a new thread asking this in the appropriate section. Your question doesn't help the OP. You will get better responses that way also.

Thank you, Now consistently could be 100+ high PR links at a time correct? Say every 2 days, consistently would be consistently..

Yeah that would work. They don't all get discovered at the same time. As long as you are consistent though, then the flow will appear consistently.

I do think that staying consistent is very important as mentioned above so I wont go further into that.

However I think total links built is also important. If you're a brand new site and you're doing blasts of 1,000 profiles a day, as an example, you run the risk of being sandboxed. However, pretty much anything you can do manually, a couple hours to get like 50-60 links, is not gonna get you in trouble and so you should go for as many of these as you can. Also important is to diversify, as stated before don't go for 1,000 automated profile links a day. Build blog comments, make web 2.0 properties and build profile links and articles, exchange or request a link here and there. Keep it as natural as possible and as intense as possible without simply using a tool to spam the crap out of one avenue and you'll do well.
