Backlink from site that have pop up ads.

A few days ago I purchased a link insert from one site that ranking in top 100 for my targeted keywords. But when I go to his webpage when I hower over suddenly a new tab opens with 1xbet ad on it. Will getting a backlink from this site affect my rankings badly ? Thanks.
