Are people allowed to back out of a deal and ask for a refund if you've already started? Just curious if anyone know any info about this please be sure to reply below

Yes but it depends on why you are backing out. If contracts were signed and the other party has not done anything wrong you can't just back out.

Depending of the seller refund policy.. If you clearly state that no refunds are issued after you started (and can provide proof that you indeed are already working on the project) then the buyer have no right to ask for refund (although you still may want to give him one if you want).

I fondo want to, I asked for 50% down payment before I start his job in-between I had to go somewhere for fee hours and when I come back he was asking for a refund and made a BS excuse

when someone backs out there not much you can do really .

you can have the best contracts in the world but if they want a refund they can ask.

if you already started you can take a fee for what you have done so far and the rest your have to return .

even in court you will not be allowed to keep all the cash only a bit for what you done for the client.

anythink you have done will have to be passed over and proven you done it.

and then charge for that work you done , then give back the rest.

how business works unfortunatly .

if services was setup you then need to sign them over for them to pay monthly or stop them.

Surely once he starts a deal he has to stick to it?? This has always been on every fourm website. Also it has been clearly stated under hire a freelance rules

"Above all, use common sense. If you are not happy with an agreement, inform the other party you do not wish to continue before you commit to providing or buying a service."

Did this have it's genesis on BHW?
