What's up.

I was about to post this as a comment on a thread but then decided to make it its own topic.

So I've been here for 3 years and I earned literally $0 (not even 0 if I take in consideration what I invested). I went back to a 9 to 5 job, I had no other alternative. I guess this is a nice place to hangout with other people that work online, or to sell stuff, but that's it. A few ideas on affiliate marketing, making youtube channels, etc. In 3 years I haven't seen a single new method.

When I joined, I was expecting tricks, actual black hat stuff. Tricks to get more clicks on ads, loops in stuff, Idk, hell, even nulled softwares. Most seo advices are mostly white hat, everything, every somewhat good method is sold or secret, software like gsa or scrapebox are also sold, etc. As I said, this is like the most white hat site, as you'd expect nulled programs or actual black hat strategies. Putting an affiliate link or cpa in a tiktok account isn't black hat, blogging ai articles and trying to rank isn't black hat, selling clickbank products via fb ads isn't black hat, and with that I covered 90% if the strategies here. A naive part of me thought I'd meet mostly people with no money, trying actual black hat stuff, but I have mostly found people that already have money, willing to put a lot on ad campaigns or buying expensive software or expensive methods in the marketplace, doing mostly white hat stuff. Nothing against that, but as I said, I was naive.

I guess that like 5% are consistently making money and about 1% are getting rich here, but imo that doesn't sound like a good statistic. I mean, if you went to a college that has, Idk, 10% of the students having a job afterwards, I'm sure you wouldn't sign up for the classes.

I love this site for its community (most people here really work hard on making a living online and I highly respect that), but not for its content. And I'm really thankful of all the times I asked for advice or just vented out and most of you were really supportive and helpful.

I'll keep lurking here and commenting on stuff sometimes, but my days of basically gambling with white hat, repetitive methods are over. I have bills to pay.

Cheers.

I guess you haven't found the easter eggs yet? There are couple of Journey Threads here that maybe would motivate you.

I never did, mate. And I'm just psychologically exhausted. I like the idea of not having a boss but I'm tired of trying stuff that doesn't work and I'm tired of eating instant ramen, so back to the 9 to 5.

If it was that easy then everyone would have been doing it and there would have been a thousand times more competition than what we are seeing today. There are many challenges in this way that makes it an uphill battle, which has many turns and very narrow lanes. 99 percent of the people turn back only after facing the initial challenges.

I'm not implying that I want easy lvl paypal money generator, but at least medium lvl. On top of that, I don't think that most methods are just hard, I think they are straight impossible (at least not if you don't start with an $8k investment like I saw in another thread today) because of that same oversaturation you mentioned.

I'm turning back because I think it's the wisest, most sensible thing to do. Maybe in 5 years I'd make money with one of the same methods that keep repeating here in the journeys section 24/7 but I guess we all have different thresholds.

There are some real black hat stuff here.
I do agree that there are far less of it tho.

Well, there's gold hidden around the forums, you just gotta dig them. But there's no magic method, no :)
Keep a positive mindset, write down your possibilities, and elaborate your game plan (better said than done, ofc)

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a black hat method.

Thanks for the advice, but I really don't wanna come across like I wanna be spoonfed or want a money generator. It wasn't the intention of my post. I've tried easy, medium and hard methods and none of them works (for me, Ik). I think it's mostly because of 3 reasons:
1. some people just have luck and they happen to ride a wave in the precise moment, their stuff gets momentum and bingo. Not all methods can be replicated, the zeitgeist is fundamental. I know it sounds good and motivational to say that we all can achieve the same, but there are too many contextual variables that can make you sink or get rich.
2. I never had the funds to pay for those immense ad campains some people pay or to buy expensive software to pump up my projects.
3. The saturation of the same 5 or 6 white hat methods constantly being discussed here.

I see what you're saying.
I guess the "Black Hat" in BlackHatWorld is a remnant of the time when anti-spam and anti-abuse filters were hardly a thing in digital marketing (back when the forum started), and you could get away with a lot black hat stuff.

In comparison, nowadays it's a lot harder to pull off black hat things (from what I understand, because I wasn't doing digital/affiliate marketing in the early 00's) without putting your time, effort and accumulated revenue at risk.

But there are still methods out there that could be considered "black hat" and could earn you a decent amount of money, though you still have to put a significant amount of effort; not because the methods are inefficient, but because competition is fierce, anti-spam/anti-abuse filters are always evolving, and because people aren't as susceptible to clicking a random link/offer as they once were.

i am new on this forum but honestly when you see 3/4 posts are my journey to 10K USD it seems hard to believe

I believe sometimes is lucky I don't know but I got you, the feeling of independance and have your own bussines is what weveryone wants and get a steady income not tied to an office or anything else but I gave up somany times and saw other people do the same and got success so I feel that I'm the one with the bd luck but as long as you keep trying as I said from errors we learn to be better, wish you the best in your work and hope you can get the real black hat experience that you are looking for.

What was the longest time you consistently put effort into something, day in day out? What were your results?

Hello. I'm Brazilian and I'm in the same. Years and years, not on this forum, but years of trying different things and nothing just works. If you want, we can discuss further and like the guy there also said, start a business together. Sometimes mine, or your key turn will be to find a good partner for a project.

I can understand. The forum has become more of White Hat, although some grey hat is still discussed occasionally.

There was a time when people on BHW used to talk about hardcore BH stuff like cloaking, cookie stuffing, manipulating AdSense, etc. and things were easy.

However, the whole game of online marketing, as well as the forum itself, has significantly changed over the past decade.

Nowadays, BHW resembles a reformed gangster who has turned into a saint.

I Can talk about my story, several years without any account on any forum just lurking on some forums looking for a piece of the puzzle that I could implement to make a living, I haven't found it yet made little to no money but my investment are bigger than the revenue, now I have no money but never giving up I think the key Is consistency but consistent effort on the same business model falling and getting up until success, 9-5 is a nightmare for me I can't imagine my self working on desk for another person dream I can't, but honestly each person have his way wish you best luck!

humain nature, when people make the money needed to secure a spot in a Wh business model, they have to turn their back to Bh, some people still dig into BH they are few
