AWS Signup ish! Is it just me or..?

For the past few weeks, each time I try to signup for AWS the automated phone call for verification doesn't hit my phone. I'm using real SIM cards of an African country inserted in a phone which I have with me. Been tryna figure out why the call doesn't come in anymore, it used to work fine before. I keep retrying until I'm blocked for 12hrs. Tried changing IP addresses and cards but still same.
Is the automated phone call working for you? Which country did you create an account from? Every help and/or advice/suggestion will be highly appreciated.
 
Search for phones in that country provided for international calling, they might require extra digits or less digits. Cell phones often have a single prefix for a larger region, they don't always match the land phone lines.
 
I had same issue. Seems aws doesn't support your country of residence

AWS support my country unless maybe they made changes recently. Like I said, everything worked fine before now. I previously created over 70 AWS accounts from same country.

Yes it is not just you. Things have changed from my observation. I had to open a case to get pass the pin verification after i could not get the call automatically. An amazon staff called me personally to tell him the pin sent to my email before i got pass that stage. After that, few hours later i got a mail asking me to provide proof of business name and business address etc. So they have become very strict .

same here but i figuted it out . just download nxtplus on. your android and use the virtual Number there to verify

Exactly! Same experience here. I also think they have really become very strict. *sigh
