Traffic is a crucial Google ranking factor. Most companies just blast traffic to client sites and ruin their SEO. Very unnatural and Google can see this, thus penalizing the site with lower rankings or even worse a manual action. Nice and slow is best. Less is more in this case then building up traffic gradually. Leaves a much more natural click profile.
