You guys need to check this out. The smart ones who can get out of the chepo IM mindset will 'get' it, and set themselves up a lucrative little business, if they do it right.

Read the whole thread, many questions are answered.

I was actually just reading this thread a few minutes ago.

It's really a killer idea. Now we just need to figure out a way to outsource it...lol.

can someone just tell us what it is. I dont even want to read their thread if I can help it. Whats the basis of the idea?

I would-- but its not worth repeating--- Great for a whitehat person--

what the hell-- the gist-- is--- contact local business who have websites-- if they are not using opt-in lists-- offer to do it for them at fee-- change their credit card terminal receipt to read signup at website address-- gives them list of nothing but buyers--because everyone checks their receipt-- nothing fancy but the guy got thanked 115 times-- Maybe I will get thanked half that amount for saving people useless trip to read whitehat Garbage!!

Yes, there is some actual W-O-R-K involved. If you're not up for a little work now and then, you should probably hang out on street corners with a sign that says,

"Homeless. Please help."

Anyone one got anymore of his products from:

In a nutshell, the idea is finding a website that needs a certain feature, calling/contacting that business, then getting them to pay you for installing that feature.

Sounds hokey but if you read the post it makes a lot of sense. A lot of Internet Marketers and Web Developers forget about the power of offline marketing.

I wrote an eBook explaining the method. PM me if you're interested ;)

i actually did somthing like that a while back ,
i looked for local companies and business that did NOT have a web site
and offered to create them one, and i did well too , out of every 100 business
i called i had about 15 who were interested , and about 8 of thoes actully paid
me for a site, domain and hosting all why over priced :).

but i stopped doing that beacuse i had my finials :( .

any way it seems like a good idea.

This worked SO well in the late 90's. I had more business than I could handle. Everyone wanted a website and were willing to pay tons of money for some very simple sites. Then just about everyone turned into a web designer and things kinda dropped off.

You can still do something similar by finding local businesses that have TERRIBLE websites and offer to recreate them for you. Everyone wants a blog, and you can get a lot of business installing Wordpress and customizing a theme. That's mostly what I'm doing right now (during the day. At night it's all shady BH stuff :)

Oh shoot I already read that book and am using it in conjunction with 10k weekend. I was just sending out ads to find me an assistant to organize this crap so I can prepare to pass along to my worker bees. I am in the preliminary stages of doing this business myself. I offered people to pm me about this, so, we who are serious can bounce ideas and keep each other motivated. I didnt get any takers,(though the offer is still on table ;) ).
Money2spare not sure why you would consider it crap? Though, I did thank you for saving me the trip to site:D.
To me the method itself for getting clients is not technical so it makes things easier and you can outsource this. As long as you know perception is everything outsourcing is no problemo :)
